Your freight forwarder selection is one of the most important decisions in your supply chain. A good forwarder offers: competitive rates (not the cheapest), transparent pricing, proactive communication, customs expertise, and problem-solving capability. Interview at least 3 forwarders. Check their references. Start with a trial shipment before committing to a long-term relationship. A bad forwarder can cost you more in delays and damage than you save on freight.

Pre-shipment planning prevents half of all logistics problems. Confirm: correct HS code classification, complete shipping documents, proper packaging for the transport mode, correct labels and marks, insurance coverage, and destination country import requirements.
