AQL sampling is the foundation. Determine sample size based on batch quantity, then use the acceptable quality level to decide pass or fail. If defective units exceed the limit, the batch needs 100% inspection or rework.

Pre-Production Inspection is often overlooked but critical. Checking raw materials and first articles before mass production prevents disasters. One PPI costs far less than reworking an entire production run.

Inspection is not a formality — it protects both you and your client. Common problems include surface defects, dimensional deviations, incorrect packaging, and mixed batches. Catching these before shipment saves you from claims.

Different products need different inspection focuses. Metals: dimensional tolerance and finish. Electronics: functional testing and ESD. Textiles: color and defects. Ceramics: deformation and glaze. A one-size-fits-all checklist is unprofessional.
